MILIEU Plants Roots at Nashville’s Antiques and Garden Show

MILIEU is proud to sponsor the keynote address by Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, the brother of Diana, Princess of Wales, at the 28th annual Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville. Earl Spencer's much-anticipated talk takes place on February 2, the opening day of the show, at Nashville’s Music City Center.

His presentation addresses the show’s theme, “A Sense of Place,” and what that idea means to him and his family. Earl Spencer is the owner of Althorp Estate, his family’s ancestral seat, and it is where Diana, Princess of Wales rests. MILIEU understands the importance of a sense of place, what it means to make a home for a family, and, so, his topic resonated deeply with us. MILIEU is also a media sponsor of the show, which continues through February 4.

An estimated 150 leading antiques and horticultural dealers from across the country will convene for the show, the largest of its kind in the U.S. Proceeds will benefit Nashville’s Cheekwood Estate and Gardens and various charities supported by the Economic Club of Nashville.

Another exciting development for MILIEU is that this year’s show celebrates the architect and interior designer Gil Schafer as its honorary chairman (the second year in row he has been honored). Gil’s work has been regularly featured in the pages of MILIEU, with one of his projects appearing in our current Winter 2018 issue.
