Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville

In January, the 34th Annual Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville opened its doors to design, antiques, and garden enthusiasts from around the country. The show floor, a myriad of vendor booths and installations of greenhouses and living gardens, brought the flora outdoors indoors. This year, MILIEU was the National Media Sponsor for the keynote address by Ina Garten, who is also known as the Barefoot Contessa and a great American cook of our time. The engaging talk was moderated by Mary Celeste Beall, proprietor of East Tennessee’s Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain; country music superstar Faith Hill, who is also a friend of Ina’s, made a surprise appearance as the host of the event. The conversation focused on all things culinary, including Ina’s barn kitchen, and candidly, a favorite meal she has been served. The Show is more than just a celebration of great design; it’s also a charitable event, whose purpose is to raise funds for Cheekwood and the Economic Club of Nashville (ECON) Charities.

A Toast to MILIEU

Cheers to MILIEU on its 10th anniversary! Robin Rains, one of America’s most talented interior designers and antiques dealers, generously hosted a Champagne toast for the publication at her namesake showroom and design studio located in the Nashville Design Collective. Beautifully orchestrated through the creativity of Robin Rains and her design team—with Kathryn York of This Is My Kitchen, Kellie Lutito of Kellie Bakes, and floral designer Anna Lisa Dobbs—the bountiful spreads of brunch bites, fruits and flowers, along with the antiques that fill Robin’s showroom, made the setting unforgettable. How proud we were to be celebrated this way by someone we have long admired!
