It’s back—The Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville! One of the largest and most extensive horticultural events in the nation is back in full bloom, from February 11-13 at the Music Center in downtown Nashville. MILIEU is excited to be a sponsor of the keynote address, delivered this year by Martha Stewart, entrepreneur, author, and Emmy Award–winning television host.

The Chairs for the event, Ashley Smith and Julia Spickard, decided that this year’s theme be “Home is where your story begins.” And Martha Stewart’s much-anticipated address harkens exactly to that uplifting and fitting idea. MILIEU especially understands the relevance of that topic, since we tell the stories of the homes and gardens we feature—their interior designs, their architecture, the life that goes on inside them.

The organizers of this event expect this year’s show to be among the biggest and most well attended. Some 150 antiques and accessories dealers, along with a series of fully articulated landscaped gardens, will be featured, notably examples by Anne Daigh and Wade Rick.  As is long-standing tradition, proceeds from the gathering will benefit Nashville’s Cheekwood Estate and Gardens and a variety of charities supported by the influential Economic Club of Nashville.

Other exciting planned events at the Show include an on-stage conversation with Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin of The Home Edit, moderated by Gen Sohr of Pencil & Paper Co.; a talk with Alexa Hampton; guest appearances by Jenn & Mike Gracie, Christopher Spitzmiller, and Ashley Whittaker; and the on-stage return of the event’s honorary chair, noted designer Bunny Williams, several of whose projects have been featured in the pages of MILIEU.
