Celebrating 37 Years of the Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville

Time takes on new meaning for this year’s Antiques & Garden Show in Nashville. For the 37th annual event, the founders have chosen the theme, “Timeless: Living a Collected Life.”

MILIEU is honored to be the national media sponsor of the opening keynote lecture on January 8, 2027, titled “A Life Well Layered: Fashion, Interiors & the Garden,” with Cordelia de Castellane. Known as one of the world’s leading interior designers and tastemakers, the Paris-based Cordelia de Castellane is the embodiment of French art and style and hospitality. She will speak about her many roles in life—as Artistic Director of DIOR Home and Baby DIOR, her latest book, Flower Couture: From My Garden to My House, and why living the right kind of life can make a life feel, indeed, timeless, even infinite in scope. The talk takes place in Nashville’s Music City Center (the show continues through January 10).

“I, and much of the MILIEU staff, has spent considerable time in France and we often look to French style as inspiration for what we cover in the magazine,” says MILIEU’s Editor-in-Chief and Founder, Pamela Pierce. “We admire Cordelia’s design approach, not only for the scale of the work she does, but for her ability to make every project feel warm and personal. Also, we honor the show’s devotion to and celebration of some 150 antiques, art, and horticulture dealers, along with the garden showcases, but we especially recognize the charities that benefit from the event, notably Cheekwood Estate & Gardens and the Economic Club of Nashville (ECON) Charities. They all do so much for the community and well beyond.”

Like its predecessors, this 37th show features some of the biggest names and talents in the industry. Interior designer Bunny Williams, and her longtime business partner, Elizabeth Lawrence, return again to speak on “The Art of Seeing: Cultivating an Eye for Beauty.” Other appearances planned for the three-day event include a design panel, “Living Collected: Curating a Home With Meaning,” that will feature designers Micke ten Have, Aldous Bertram, and Schuyler Samperton, moderated by John Bossard. A floral demonstration by Ariella Chezar and Matthew Rice, moderated by Frances Schultz, will reveal the magic of bringing blooms into rooms.

As Pierce adds, “MILIEU is particularly taken with this year’s emphasis on the keepsakes that we value and the idea that the rooms we live with and among reveal our own stories and sense of style. The Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville always provides new ideas by some of the most fascinating people working today in the industry.”
