WELCOME TO BEAUTIFUL

INA GARTEN HEADLINES THE ANTIQUE AND GARDEN SHOW NASHVILLE LECTURE SERIES THIS JANUARY 2024

Who hasn’t had a meal with Ina Garten, the noted cookbook author and television hostess—or, rather, cooked and served one of her signature recipes? Also known as The Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten’s recipes for dinners and lunches and special occasions are a delicious complement to this year’s annual Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville, at which Ina Garten is the keynote speaker—and for which MILIEU is the National Media Sponsor. This year’s event, takes place January 12-14 at Nashville’s Music City Center and has as its theme, “Welcome to Beautiful.”

As this year’s Show co-chair Susan Weathersby says, “Ina Garten is an incredibly influential presence in so many households—including my own—and so we couldn’t be more excited to announce her presence as our keynote speaker.”

Caroline Cook, the Show’s other co-chair, adds, “This year’s keynote fits well within our Show theme, Welcome to Beautiful. Envision your perfect dinner party—for we want to celebrate all the beautiful elements that are around the table, from the place settings in floral arrangements to the people and conversation.”  Cook acknowledges, too, the excitement that is already building about Ina Garten’s forthcoming memoir that will be published in October 2024.

In addition to Ina Garten’s presence, Bunny Williams, the renowned designer, author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist (known for her decidedly beautiful work) will be celebrated as the show’s Honorary Chair. Since its founding in 1990, by the late and legendary interior designer Albert Hadley, the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville now draws some 16,000 attendees, and it has earned a distinction as a true Southern tradition for collectors, gardeners, dealers, artists, artisans, and designers from around the world.

The Show is more than just a celebration of great design, it’s also a charitable event, whose purpose is to raise funds for Cheekwood and the Economic Club of Nashville (ECON) Charities. Since its founding, the show has raised more than $9 million dollars for its beneficiaries.

MILIEU is proud to be a national media sponsor for the Show. As Pam Pierce, MILIEU’s Founder and Editor in Chief, says, “I am inspired by the fact that the Antiques and Garden Show in Nashville has had such a long, lasting presence, showcasing antiques, design and horticulture. We have long admired Ina Garten and look very forward to hearing her insights and inspiration in her talk.”
